Although Ozark PT Specialists is in rural Mountain Home, Arkansas, we strive to offer the same excellent care you expect in a large city but with a small town, personal touch. We work with local orthopedic surgeons and surgeons in other areas to provide the best care for you following knee replacement surgery, hip replacement surgery, and shoulder joint replacement surgery.
We have over 20 years experience with our therapists and a reputation to get you results you need and expect. Therapy following a total joint replacement surgery is an integral part of your recovery, to alleviate pain, increase range of motion, and ensure the success of your new joint.
The goal of the first 2 weeks of recovery is to manage pain, decrease swelling, heal the incision, restore normal movement, and initiate exercise. Following those 2 weeks, your physical therapist will tailor your range-of-motion exercises, progressive muscle-strengthening exercises, body awareness and balance training, functional training, and activity-specific training to address your specific goals and get you back to the activities you love!
